Dino Time

The Davis Five came to McKinney for a visit and we took them to the Heard Museum.

Jackson was a bit scared of the "real" dinosaurs.

It was much safer with Papa John by his side.

Ben felt he was better off staying closer to his dad.

It didn't take long before the boys warmed up to their new friends...

Sweet and beautiful Ruby didn't have any idea she had been in the land of the Dinos!

Boys

We went down to see the grandkids and celebrate Jackson's 5th birthday. We had fun at Mr. Gatti's and
I think the boys did too.
It is rare to get Ben to stay still long enough to snap a good photo.

Jackson is at that age that looking cool is very important at all times.
His Where's Waldo Party made him look pretty good.  He can thank his Mom and Dad for all of the boy  friendly food and snacks. So cute!

Every party in July in Texas has to have water. This sure beats the slip n slide we had at our Summer parties in the 1960's!

One more cool pose for the camera!

Super Ben

Our sweet Ben turned 3 and he wanted a sports party.

Mary Beth did such a great job decorating. Ryan helped with icing the cupcakes.

 Such a cutie.

 Where's my food?

 Pinata time...

Jackson had to get in on the action too.

Ruby was sweet heart the whole party.
What a fun afternoon. Happy Birthday Ben!!

We simply can't be serious

Trying to take a perfect picture of the kids is like trying to grab a moving snake by the tail - not that I have ever tried that!
Ryan is looking good though. He is doing his best to set a photo op example for the boys.

Cake pops after a yummy lunch.

Jackson doesn't realize that Ruby is taking in everything he does...

She watches Benjamin too. He loves his baby sis.

See what I mean? We don't know how to be serious - seriously...

Pink is Sweet

My first granddaughter,Ruby Elizabeth was born into her new pink world last Friday, January 27th.
Having two older brothers with all things boy, she will be up to her neck in ruffles and lace.

Big brother, Jackson, is four.
He had LOTS of questions about how she got here...
Big brother Ben said she sure was HEavY.
(She weighed 6 lbs 9 oz when she was born....)

We thought it would be a good idea to take some group pictures of all three in the backyard. At first it appeared that the boys would cooperate and it would be a piece of cake to get the perfect photo. That didn't last long.

The next thing we knew, Jackson was making faces and Ben was taking a bite out of a leaf, which he had already offered to Ruby. Ruby just started sucking her thumb. That third baby is always easy going. Now you see why.
Finally, we tried our best to get a family photo. It may not be perfect, but it captured the moment.
 So precious...
